How to install mods and custom content for The Sims four (for both Mac and PC users!)

Installing custom content and mods in your Sims 4 game can be a flake confusing! Make Sure Your Game Is Patched

How to Install

How to Apply the Majority Rename Utility

Download and install the free program from here.

Once you've finished installing it, become to your Documents > Electronic Arts > Sims 4 folder and right-click on the Mods folder. Click the choice that says Bulk Rename Here.

The program will open up upwards and you'll run into your Mods binder there. Highlight everything in the folder, and then go to the section that says Supplant (3), just below the Mods window. In the Replace box, enter your cursor and just hitting the space bar once. This will delete any spaces in the file names.

Now become to the section that says Remove (5). Tick the "Sym." box. This will delete any symbols.

Hullo. My script mods were non working. I downloaded the latest UI and MCCC, unzipped them and placed under ElectronicArts - TheSims4- Mods directly without subfolder. I take as well done the following to troubleshoot my script mods.:

one. I already checked the Enable CC and Script Mods during the game and had it restarted plenty of times since I was testing UI and MCCC 1 at a time.

2. I deleted the enshroud binder, cachestr and onlinethumbnailcache.

3. I tried to re-download the script mods, unzipped and re-installed them once again separately.

4. I navigated to Origin, repaired the game and made certain it's updated.

v. In my CC list during startup of the game, I tin can see the script mods I've added which means they are installed properly.

six. However, I tried to look for 10-15minutes for the script mods to load simply I'm stuck in the simmer icon.

Hello, I just got the sims four a few days ago, and I've been trying to get custom content to work, simply it's not working. I have it enabled in the options, and I tried a bunch of the things you lot suggested in your troubleshooting section (repairing the game on origin, deleting caches, etc.) and it even so doesn't work. I know how to install cc into sims 4. Information technology was working perfectly a few months ago. At present, I become get cc but it won't go into my game. I still have the cc that I had a few months agone but no new cc will transfer into my game. Exercise y'all know what I can do?

I freaked out during an automatic update and took my mods folder out in the center of it. And when I went to move information technology back in all my mods were missing and I can't discover them and no they aren't in the recycling bin :((((( Whatsoever suggestions?

Hey all my mods are in my mods binder and I have CC enabled and script mods allowed but none of my mods are showing upwards in my game. They aren't even showing up when I click "view custom content" and I don't know what to do. Delight assist!!

Then, the thing I downloaded immediately jumped into the Mods binder, just I didn't encounter information technology in my game. I don't know if I have to extract it or not, and if i do, I see no extract option when right-clicking. Does anyone know how to help?

How-do-you-do there, make sure you click on the download link for Mac, not Windows or another operating system :)
